Deux Jours en Paris

Bonjour tout le monde!

Liz, Belle and I have completed (almost) our mini vacay in Paris and it has been quite the adventure! Day one we spend the day running errands (isn't that weird?? we had to run errands in Paris!) but we had to get things for living like a cell phone--which is available upon request, by the way--hair dryers, straighteners, etc. We also got to checkout le Tour Eiffel from some sweet new veiws. We were pretty worn out, but made it to 8pm...with not sleeping for 27 hours that's pretty good!
Day two we got up bright and early to head to the latin quarter for a tour. It's this great free tour that I found last march in London..the tour guides work on tips and took us on a 3.5 hour walking tour all around the city..it was perfect for us--we got to see the sites that we didnt have time to visit. we grabbed some lunch--a baguette and some cheese--and headed on the metro to the Paris Catacombs. Probably the creepiest thing I've ever seen...For those of you who don't know its a scary underground quarry that was transformed ossuary..so there were THOUSANDS of skeletons beautifully organized (in a scary, creepy nightmare-ish way). After that we headed over to the Moulin Rouge were we started another free tour by the same company (by the way, both times we had a really crazy funny tour guide who turned out to be James from Big Brother season 9) The tour was all around Montmartre--really cool at night! We did have this crazy woman who stole things around the whole tour...at ever fruitstand she grabbed grapes, onions at the vegetable stands and she ordered a coffee and then ran away without paying. She was dressed well and carried a purse and took the tour with us, but she just was crazy. At one point she even grabbed a old chicken box OUT OF THE TRASH and ate an already eaten CHICKEN BONE like...crunchy gross bite in half and swallowed. It was sooooo weird. It did provide beaucoup entertainment though.

Packing...

Here are a few pictures to get an idea of the serious amount of packing belle and I are doing. She doesn't have very much stuff...but I do.

The Day Before

Hello everyone! As most know, tomorrow I head to France to begin my study abroad in Dijon. I will try to update this blog as much as possible with pictures and happenings from my adventures. Also--this was my mom's idea--I have a little friend that I acquired on my most recent trip to Disney World that is going to be traveling around with me. This blog will document our travels and adventures!
